Sophie & Gino DIY creative vineyard wedding
Color: Turquoise
Style: DIY Creative artistic
Theme: Wine
Tip of the day from Sophie: “Discover an artist in you, create your wedding decorations.”
Funny coincidence: Both parents of the couple were married in the 60s and 70s and got the exact same albums done for their wedding! All the guests were amazed and thought it was arranged! Their parents only figure it out when their children met many years later.
Sophie-the creative genius behind the vineyard wedding
The theme of this beautiful vineyard wedding was WINE. The ceremony, reception and photo session took place in the vineyard; the design incorporated the wine bottles and corks, and the guests received wine bottles as gifts.
Unbelievably creative wedding décor all made by Sophie herself!
Sophie is full of imagination; she created the concept and designed all the wedding details starting with the wedding bouquet to the centre pieces on the tables. This vineyard wedding looked like a fine art gallery with glamorous well-thought trough art pieces.
Sophie made her bridal bouquet from white flowers covered with all kinds of sparkling brooches, it looked truly vintage and chic and matched her sparkling belt. The best thing was that she made is a second similar bouquet to throw to the girls at the end of the evening. The girl who caught it was super excited and happy!
The Centrepieces were made from the three sleek Gothic looking wine bottles of three colours: silver, gold and transparent, filled with white flowers. Sophie put a sparkling jewellery in the transparent bottle and surrounded her art piece with small candles. Sophie and Gino had to drink all this wine in the last year in order to collect all these empty bottles.
Specially for the vineyard wedding, the placement cards were put in the corks from the wine bottles. Sophie put a lace around each cork, it looked very cute. Also Sophie assembled many little jars and vases for the sweet table; she put a lace on each piece and a sparkling brooch in the middle. Than she put cookies and candies inside them, and surrounded with candles it looked fantastic. It was perfect for the vineyard wedding!
Herself, she was dressed in a gorgeous white wedding dress and turquoise shoes that matched the turquoise colours of the dresses of the bridesmaids. Every detail was well thought through as she was ready for a meeting with Gino that day.
The Ceremony was full of emotion and great humour. Gino works at Canada post, so on the morning he gave a paper with his wedding vows to the best man. In the key moment when Gino looks at his best man to get the vows and realizes that does not have it…as Gino starts panicking, then a little girl comes in dressed as a postman delivering a box with the groom’s vows right at the wedding. Sophie in turn had a paper with her wedding vows unfold in a long accordion right to the floor. That was very funny too.
Sophie and Gino had a mega party with great music and food! They let the balloons fly in the sky, cut the cake; broke the big chocolate statue and they danced and had the greatest time with their friends and family.
