Tip of the day from Deidra: ” No matter what happens, even if you forget the rings, enjoy your day to the fullest”
Fantastic Jewish wedding full of fun, action and love!!!
Deidra and Casey practically grew up together. They went to the same school. In grade seven, Casey wrote in his agenda “I maybe like Deidra”.
Casey and Deidra are best friends, soul mates and they are madly in love with each other.
Deidra is a young beautiful and extremely talented young lady. She studies medicine and is into fashion and sports. Deidra is a fantastic makeup artist, she did her own makeup on her wedding day.
Casey is smart, fun, outgoing and handsome young men with a great sense of humour. Together, they make a perfect couple.
Casey found a very creative way to propose to Deidra. Deidra loves pilates, so Casey came up with a ingenious plan. He asked a friend who was a pilates teacher for a special idea; to ask Deidra to participate in an experimental pilates class for couples that she wanted to test out. The concept of the class was that that there are only two people in the room. Obviously, Deidra was excited to try it out! At the end of the pilates class, the teacher told them to lie down on the floor and relax for a few minutes, a standard practice, then she quietly left the room. That was the moment when Casey took Deidra’s hand and slipped the ring on her finger. It took Deidra a while to realize what has happened and when she did, it was a huge surprise! Afterwards the happy couple headed home for a small family celebration.
The wedding was held at Shaare Hashomayim, the biggest and most beautiful synagogue in Westmont.
The event itself was masterfully orchestrated by Lesly Hoppenhiem, a fantastic wedding planner.
The day was extremely hot, so for the romantic pictures of the couple we stayed around Deidra’s parents house. The house provided a perfect artistic setting for a wedding photo session. Beautiful view of Montreal, some greenery, and modern design of the interiour provided all the elements for a very nice artistic mix.
Just as we arrived at the synagogue, they found our that the rings were forgotten. Although right before, Casey’s brother managed to get them on time for the ceremony. Deidra’s reaction surprised everybody; she smiled and said: “I’m not worried about anything, the most important thing is that I am marring Casey today, nothing else matters.”
After the ceremony, we’ve moved into the reception hall, thankfully it was in the same building, so we didn’t have to face the heat again. The evening itself was crazy! Lots of dancing, entertainment, funny and emotional speeches. After supper, Casey prepared a surprise for Deidra, a song he had prepared before, it was so beautiful, romantic and mostly touching.
