Colourful and grandiose Vietnamese Wedding at Windsor ballroom Montreal.
Angy and Jean planned a spectacular wedding with true Vietnamese traditions and a lot of fun moments.
Games at The Vietnamese Wedding
Jean came in the morning to the bride’s house rescue his princess. He cam with a long cortège of grooms-men carried beautiful gifts, fruits and a real cooked pig. Pig is a very important element at every Vietnamese wedding. But the quest was very challenging. Bridesmaids were hiding the bride from Jean. They made Jean pass lots of tests to be able to see his bride. The future groom had to bring 99 roses, 99 dollars and do 99 push-ups in order to be granted access to the bride. The pushups were the most difficult part, but he succeeded all by himself.
Vietnamese Wedding traditions
Like in any traditional Vietnamese wedding, the meeting of the bride followed by a beautiful Vietnamese ceremony. Groom’s mother was singing a beautiful prayer. Everybody stood steel to listen to the magic of her song
A traditional Vietnamese wedding is very challenging for the bride as well. Angy had four dresses to wear. She also three changes of make-up and hair. Kato (make-up) and Edward (Hair) were there to help Angy with her magical metamorphosis throughout the day. She looked very beautiful and kept surprising the guest with her gorgeous outfits.
The ceremony was at the Marie Rene du Monde Church in the centre of Montreal. The reception was in the Windsor ballroom. Both places were beautifully decorated by Ive Chenier a wonderful and talented florist.
Another big tradition at the Vietnamese wedding is to take pictures with all the guest. We had a long photo session before entering the hall. The party was great. Bride’s sister sang a wonderful song. There were a lot of emotional speeches and everybody had a lot of fun.
It was a really happy and colourful Vietnamese Wedding!
